Mentor Eligibility

Mentors must be at least 18 years old. Successful basic training and a completion of the mentor application process is required for for a successful mentorship.

Code of Conduct

Mentors are expected to maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical standards. Respectful and inclusive behavior is mandatory; discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.

Termination of Mentorship

Sawstem.org reserves the right to terminate the mentorship if a mentor breaches the terms and conditions. Mentors can request termination of their commitment with reasonable notice.

Volunteering Commitment

Mentors commit to dedicating a minimum of 5 hours per month to the Sawstem.org mentorship program. A commitment term of 12 months is expected, with the option for renewal.

Mentors must respect the confidentiality of information shared by mentees during the mentorship. Any discussions held within the mentorship program should remain private.

Intellectual Property

Any materials or resources shared by mentors should respect copyright laws. Mentors retain ownership of their intellectual property shared during the mentorship.

Contribution rules

1. Donations are accepted from individuals, corporations, and institutions willing to contribute to STEM education and research initiatives.
2. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent law allows. Donors should consult their tax advisor for specific information regarding the tax implications of their donation.
3. Our organization is transparent about how the funds will be used for STEM programs, scholarships, research, or other educational initiatives.
4. Donors may have the option to specify how they want their donation to be allocated, such as supporting a particular program, scholarship, or research area within STEM.
5. Donors may be recognized publicly unless they remain anonymous. Recognition can be in the form of acknowledgment on our website, or in our event programs.
6. Our organization is responsible for ensuring that the funds are used effectively and responsibly for the intended purpose, in line with the donor's wishes.
7. Donations are generally non-refundable. Once a donation is made, it is considered a charitable contribution and is not refundable except in cases of error or fraud.
8. Donors' personal information is kept confidential and is not shared with third parties, following privacy laws and regulations.
9. Our organization and donors should comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to charitable giving and tax-exempt status.

It's important for both donors and organizations to clearly understand and agree upon these rules to ensure a smooth and ethical donation process.
