The collaborative efforts of Trustees, a mentor, and four dedicated teachers from Mophane Primary unfolded into a promising chapter for STEM enthusiasts.

Meeting Highlights

The session, held on 9/12/2023 from 0900 to 1330, revolved around the comprehensive agenda of planning 2024 STEM activities aligned with school syllabi. The attendees, including two teachers deeply involved in the school's science and maths club and two others drawn in by Sawstem's impactful work, infused the meeting with energy and commitment.

Way Forward

1. January Workshop: A follow-up workshop is scheduled for January to finalize activities for standard 5 and 6 students. This session will also serve as a platform to coach new mentors, ensuring a seamless transition into effective guidance for children in these groups.

2. Parental Involvement Meeting: Recognizing the importance of parental support, a meeting with teachers and parents is on the horizon. The aim is to secure consent for weekend activities, acknowledging that mentorship is an ongoing process that can occur in group settings or through one-on-one interactions.
